Creating a Tribute Fund is a wonderful way to remember and celebrate the life of someone special whilst supporting the work of Michael Sobell Hospice.

Donating to your fund is simple and can be done at any time.  You may choose to ask family and friends to donate to the fund in lieu of funeral flowers.  Many people also choose to take part in one of our events, or organise their own, to celebrate the life of a loved one.

Michael Sobell Hospice

Providing local care, comfort and support for people facing life limiting illnesses

Michael Sobell Hospice has been providing care, comfort and support for local people facing life limiting illnesses since 14th February 1977. The Hospice is a special place, where patients and families can spend precious time together. Based on the Mount Vernon Hospital site our professional team offers medical care, nursing and emotional care along with practical support for patients, their families and carers.

Our aim is that every patient should experience a journey towards the end of their life that is peaceful, comfortable and free from worry and pain. Services provided include: Inpatient Unit, Day Centre, Patient and Family Support including Bereavement Counselling and Rehabilitation Support, as well as a specialist team providing palliative care education.

Each year Michael Sobell Hospice Charity pledges to raise £1.66 million pounds to ensure vital services are maintained. We believe expert care and support should be available, today and in the future, for local people and their families.

Our heartfelt thanks for supporting Michael Sobell Hospice. The hospice has been supporting the local community for almost 40 years and every donation received via a tribute fund will allow us to continue to provide free-of-charge care to those who need it.

We are regularly told by families who use our services that it is the personalised care that really makes a difference.

"My husband received the most wonderful care possible. He was so happy there and I’ll always be grateful.”

“The wonderful care and kindness my mother received was of enormous comfort to me and my family.”

However you chose to support us, we are hugely grateful.
